Herne Hill Harriers is a non-profit community amateur sports club run by qualified volunteers.
Since 1889, we have operated in the local community, welcoming athletes of all ages who are interested in track and field, road and cross country. We are one of the top athletics clubs in the Country, but welcome children and adults of all abilities, who frequently enter the sport through our extensive outreach programmes.
We were delighted to have nine Club athletes (including three medalists) at the premier 2026 senior domestic track and field meeting, the UK Championships, and twenty HHH athletes going to the 2026 English Schools, the premier young athletes meeting, and around one third of the London team.
The Club Development Fund
In recognition of the benefits of supporting our broad and talented membership, the Club has launched a Development Fund. We welcome donations from external companies and individuals, and from our members and parents to this fund, as it helps ensure we can target support, which in turn raises the profile of the Club and our athletes. These generous contributions complement the huge voluntary efforts of our Club coaches and officers, who provide the essential underpinning to the running of the Club and the success of our athletes.
Our main outgoing is subsidising travel for our athletes to competitions across the UK, and sometimes overseas, but we also support our athletes in other ways e.g. if they are encountering hardship we may help with kit, footwear, equipment etc.
