Fabulously well done to all Herne Hill Harriers who took part in the 2016 edition of the London Marathon. Our club now has a Guinness world record holder. Great job Sean Fitzpatrick with the fastest ever time for a runner dressed as a film character! Sean recorded 2.39.08 dressed as Elsa from the Disney film Frozen – not easy wearing a long dress and only 6 days after racing at the Boston Marathon.
Our HHH club champions as our first members to finish are Kojo Kyereme and Hayley Munn, both in superb times. Kojo placed 3rd M40, while Hayley’s time of 2.38.04 was easily a HHH Championship Best Performance and the fastest time ever clocked by a female club member, but HHH rules require club record holders to be first claim members (all members can contest club championship events).
Here is a roll call of finishing times which will inevitably miss some people, so please accept my apologies if you are one of those:-
Kojo 2.21.28 (3rd M40), Hayley 2.38.04 (3rd lady from non elite start), Sean (Elsa) 2.39.08 (World record!), Joffah Ratcliffe 2.40.28 (PB at the age of almost 49), Robin Jones 2.43.10, Andrew Grigg 2.44.42 (big PB), Simon Thompson 2.48.55 (PB), Tal Ramsey 2.52.44, Simon Messenger 2.53.50 (one second outside PB!), Dan Taylor 2.56.44 (first marathon), Craig Barney 3.01.53, Rick Pearson 3.02.13 (PB), Ruth Chalmers 3.11.51, Jemma Day 3.19.31 (PB), William Hazell 3.27.39 (PB), Laura Dowsing 3.30.22 (PB), James Ward 3.31.39, Annabel Bunch 4.01.12, Ashleigh Campbell 4.33.26 and Maria Gorman 4.36.32.
Great job.
