Herne Hill’s Katie Snowden and Lewis Lloyd duly won their senior girls and boys races by very convincing margins at the London Schools Cross Country Championship at Parliament Hill Fields, as both enjoyed their final races at this championship. Young talent Kate Brown won the junior girls race, while Zakeriye Abdirahman won the inter boys and Sam Cohen won the junior boys B race (open to year 7’s and to schools with teams in the A race).
Other HHH members to win individual medals were Skye O’Shaughnessy, who came 2nd behind Kate B, Amin Jisow, who was 3rd behind Zakeriye, Paul Burgess who won bronze in the junior boys A race and Georgie Hay did likewise in the inter girls to cap a very good day indeed for our young club runners over a testing course.
