Monae Winston sets new HHH club U13 girls record for 200m and tops UK rankings

One of Herne Hill Harriers’ young track stars, Monae Winston won the U13 girls 200m at Woking’s Young Athlete’s meeting, in 26.28 sec which is a club U13G record and is the fastest time in the UK in the age group this year. Monae’s time places her 18th on the UK all time list for U13G 200m – ahead of Dina Asher Smith at the same age.

Her club mates Michaella Pottinger and Faith Price were second and third in the same race, while Maisie Collis won the U13 girls 1500m in 5min 10 and Michealla Pottinger won the U13 100m in 12.89 sec, with Monae second in 12.92. The HHH club record for the U13 100m is 12.8 which has stood for over 30 years, so both girls are close to that one too.
