There were some great results on Sunday at the London Mini Marathon. the Under 13 boys Borough Challenge was won by Paul Burgess by 13 seconds in a time of 17.10. In the under 15 boys, Merhawi Yemane finished 4th with a time of 16.14.
There were plenty of other great performances from our Under 13 Boys with Sam Cohen 7th, Alfie Brown 13th, Max Ferrari 16th, Tom Singhgolden 33rd and Callum Barker 48th, James Bates 55th, Feysel Nadew 58th, Paul Chelobah 86th and Ollie Fox was 104th. As well as Merhawi in the Under 15 Boys we had Amiin Jisow 11th, Idiris Ali 13th, Lascelles Hussey 19th, Zakeriye Abdirahman 39th and Fraser Cunningham 57th.
Georgie Hay was our best performer amongst the girls, finishing 11th in the U15 category. Jade Stroud followed close behind in 16th place with Billie Barbour 27th, Francesca Meade 42nd, Elena Rodham Cooke 76th and Izzy Broughton 83rd.
In the Under 17 girls race Jessica Quartey Pigot finished 38th, followed by Leila Abandah in 78th.
In the under 13 girls race, Natalija Wollny finished in 19th place, with Hebe Morley Fletcher 81st and Olivia lamont in 84th place.
Well done to all who took part on a very successful day for Herne Hill Harriers. It’s great to see so many competing in red & black.
