Connecting Science and Performance: Fuelling for Athletes – an Excellent and Successful Evening

An excellent and very successful evening was enjoyed by attendees in a full lecture theatre at Kings College London on Wednesday 13th November for two talks and a Q&A session on the very topical and indeed vital subject matters of athlete nutrition and the importance of adequate fuelling for training and competition.

The guest speakers, Dr Oliver Witard of Kings and international athlete Dr Jessica Piasecki from Nottingham Trent University were excellent at an event which was educational and informative on all levels.

Big thanks to Herne Hill Harriers club president Keith Newton, Kings College and the guest lecturers and the Q & A panel.
It was also very gratifying and encouraging to see a very good turnout from HHH club members, athletes, coaches and club officers In attendance, taking on board the key learnings and contributing to the success of this much appreciated forum.
This was an evening to remember with the potential for follow up events in due course.
