Youngsters in fine form in Surrey Leagues

Herne Hill Harriers enjoyed double individual and team wins in the U13/15 girls races at the Surrey League at Roundshaw Common.

Lucy Olsen, fresh from being the fastest girl in the National road relays, won the U15 girls race by nearly 50 seconds to lead the club to team victory. Clarissa Nicholls was a strong finishing third in 14.29 followed by fast improving Jemina Hayward -Bhikha in eighth place and Sofia Di Carlo in 20th place to secure a narrow win by six points from Reigate and Kingston & Poly.

In the U13 girls Maisie Collis was a comfortable winner in 13.09 and supported by Jessica Tabraham (4th) Rosie Hammond (5th) and Jess Butland (9th) the girls team won by 21 points from Reigate and South London Harriers.

amongst the boys at Wimbledon Common Mohamed Mohamud was the first U15 boy home from clubmate Oscar Millard and led the Herne Hill Harriers U15/17 team home for a 26 point team win from Guildford and South London Harriers. Feysil Nadew, Abel Tadesse and Paul Burgess packed well supported by Oscar and Laurie Pope.

The U13 boys were more convincing team winners with Jaden Kennedy first U13 boy home ahead of Jacob Solon, Charlie Krammer and Jacob Harrison, they finished forty points clear of Sutton & District and Woking.
