Another super day for HHH with Karen Ellison joint fastest lady as well as running a super first leg to hand over to Ceri Diss in first place. Ceri Diss ran a solid, mature race to hand over to new lady Annes Stevens at the head of the ladies field. Annes ran a very strong and sensible race with many international runners behind her.
Sian Riltsone, who ran her first marathon less than two weeks a go, ran first leg for second ladies team, she handed over to Laura Dowsing, who was making a very warm welcome return to racing for HHH’s. Both ladies had prefect runs.
The older ladies team of Bec Barrow, who ran a very determined first leg and handed over to Mary Setyabule, mother of three, who had a stonking last 200m. Sarah Allen then completed this trio.
The Reigate Priory relays are in their 59th year for both male and female runners. It is a 2.5 mile cross country course around The Priory, with teams of 4 for the men and three for ladies.
