“It was a cold morning foggy morning in the Coulsdon valley for the final XC race of the season and just to complete the scene a nice sleety drizzle stated to fall just as our ladies set off. But no bother, Cathy got straight to business leading the first lap and extending her lead in the second to finish comfortably head of the pack. Not far behind Julia was doing similarly, making up places in the later stages of the race to finish in a fantastic 11th position. Following her home was Ceri, in 53rd place. Next came the dramatic finish between Rebecca and Mary, with Mary making an impressive sprint finish to the line, to have the same time recorded as Rebecca. A really impressive show of form. Completing our team were Jess W and Jen B both running well on a tough course.”
