First international victory for Herne Hill Harriers’ javelin ace Gavin Johnson-Assoon
Gavin Johnson-Assoon made his England debut competing at an International throws meet in Leiria, Portugal. In two competitions over the weekend Gavin saved his best for the final round on Sunday throwing the javelin 67.02m, only centimetres less than his PB, and giving him his first international victory.
