We had a disappointing start to the Youth Development League at Reading but we have lots of local competitions over the Bank Holiday weekend & coming weeks. PLEASE CAN ALL PARENTS & ATHLETES READ THE BELOW DETAILS CAREFULLY AND ADVISE ASAP WHICH MEETINGS YOU CAN ATTEND :

Saturday 29th April   South London Athletics Network meeting for U15/17/20s male and female

Tooting Bec Track   It is hoped to have electronic timing    1.00 pm  – 4.00 pm

Track 1.00 pm sprint hurdles  1.25 pm 800m  1.50 pm 100m  2.30 300m 2.45 pm 400m  3.05pm 200m  3.30 pm 1500m 3.50 4 x 100m relays   /   Field 1.00 javelin & male long jump 2.00 hammer & long jump female 3.00 discus  & high jump

£ 2.00 per athlete to enter pay on the day  if you want to do sprint hurdles you must pre enter by Thursday to Ben Noad on ben@bennoadcoaching.com

Sunday 30th April     Ebbisham League   for U13 + U15 boys (U11+U17s  non scoring

David Weir Leisure Centre   Middleton Road  Carshalton SM1 1SL

Meeting starts at 1.00 pm   – please arrive by 12.00

Steve will have timetables, we no longer have use of the green minibuses so please make your own way, we will try to arrange car shares from Tooting Bec track, please contact Steve to confirm you can come & try to arrive by 12.00 at the David Weir Leisure Centre

This is an ideal local boys league for newcomers & also to get more experience before the big competitions so please try to come and help us get off to a good start in a league we have won 7 times in the past 10 years

Bank Holiday Monday   May 1st    Herne Hill Harriers Bank Holiday Open meeting

Starts  11.30 am

if entering on the day remember you must arrive and enter at least an hour before your first track event, no exceptions so don’t be late

club championships are 100m, 400m, 400m & 300m hurdles, hammer, high jump, shot putt and high jump   medals to 1-2-3 providing you achieve club standards

this is always our busiest home open meeting of the summer so if you are not competing or if any parents can help for all / part of the day please let Steve Bosley know asap, we always need more helpers to put on meetings to ensure athletes have a good experience & the club events are successful

Featured is the Stan Allen Mile for all ages at 1.50 pm named after our much missed former President, coach & outstanding clubman. Please support these races which are open to athletes & parents alike

For U13/15/17 girls   (U11 girls non scoring)  starts 11.15 am

A popular League for girls which is ideal for newcomers, to try new events or improve ahead of the big championships or borough comps,   more details to follow

For under 13 agegrousp upwards, you cant win a medal is you aren’t entered!!, why not enter a field event as well as track   On line Entries close Wednesday 3rd May  at noon  no late entries

***All England Athletics numbers and club memberships were due for renewal on 1st April  so if you haven’t renewed please do so urgently, you need to be a club member to compete in club events so please join the club asap, paper membership forms are available at the track but joining/ renewing on line is preferred
