RIP Malcolm Roberts (aka Harry amongst his HHH contemporaries)

Herne Hill Harriers are very sad to learn of the news that Malcolm Roberts – widely known as Harry among those athletes who competed with him in the 1980s – passed away in Germany on 20th May after sudden illness.

One of our club’s finest runners and a great friend to all who knew him in his life in athletics, his subsequent cycling career and throughout his 43 years as a tube train driver on the Metropolitan Line.

Our very deepest condolences go to his family and to those who were closest to him. A memorial celebration of his life will take place on Friday 1st July in Chesham. Further details can be provided on contacting HHH club officers to any who knew Harry and might wish to attend.

RIP Harry our man ?
