Final Epsom Downs League Match

On a crispy cold overcast Mother’s day Morning, Herne Hill Harriers youngsters put the finishing touches to what has been an enjoyable first effort in 4th and Final Downs League Match.

Under 11’s got to gain experience the joys of Cross Country running with some of the older athletes continuing to gain confidence with improving performances over the four races. We also had a few new HHH athletes come along to do their first race. HHH clinched the League in the Individual U13Boys,U11Boys and U11G age groups as well as Team Gold.

Mohammed Ali, Maisie Collis and Christo Chilton were crowned individual Champions over the four races winning some wonderful individual Plaques, with each team also taking a lovely shield Home (U13B, U11B & U11G). Over the four races other HHH triumphs were Jacob Alley, U13B Silver, Jacob Harrison U11B Silver (or might be his brother Ben?), Emily Kate Marchand and Annabella Bailey silver and Bronze in the U11G. HHH were so dominant that even our B teams were the 2nd Overall Teams in some age groups.

In the overall U11 race, Christo won a few metres ahead of a fast improving Jacob Harrision followed by Maisie Collis(1st U11 G) and Ben Harrison.

Those with the Shields U11’s please keep for 3 months each, Under 13’s 4 months each. Please also remember to have it engraved to read Herne Hill Harriers AC 2015.
