Coronavirus and training

Coronavirus Update June 2020

In the context of the updated guidance from England Athletics, the Club’s Executive has agreed a plan to resume small group training (where this is possible), and appointed Ella Newton as the Club’s Covid 19 Co-ordinator.

Please note that Tooting Bec track is currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. The track providers Enable who run facilities in Wandsworth have yet to tell us when Tooting Bec track can re-open but we hope it will be shortly. When it does re-open it is likely training will be restricted to 1:1 or 1:5 coach / athlete ratio and all sessions will need to be pre-booked

Please keep checking for updates when the track can open

Club Coaches have started training sessions on Tooting Bec and Streatham Commons under current England Athletics guidelines for training which permits training under 1 : 5 basis which must be pre-booked. Currently there is no training for youngsters  aged 9-14 unless those athletes are part of a specific training group but we hope to re-start as soon as England Athletics guidelines are extended which is likely to be once the government extends the lockdown
