One of Herne Hill Harriers’ young stars Jaden Kennedy had a week to remember. First he improved his PB for the 200m by 2 seconds to 26.9 at the Surrey Athletic Network U11/U13 Open at Walton on Wednesday 20th July, then on the evening of Friday 22nd Kennedy was a key member of Harriers’ 4x100m team taking part in the U13 boys Club Challenge Relays in the Olympic Stadium at Stratford with his team just pipped on the line by Croydon – see team photo above.
To cap things off the following day he followed this up by extending his lead at the top of the UK national 1500m age group rankings, improving his PB time to 4:25.91 and thereby revised his own under 13 boys club record at Harriers own open meeting at Tooting on Saturday 23rd July. Jaden is creeping up the UK all time list for his age at both 800m and 1500m and making startling and very exciting progress.
