James Bates (age 14) who runs for the Herne Hill Harriers Young Middle Distance XC Group coached by James McDonald has the great honour of having been selected to be an Olympic Torchbearer.
James will be running with the torch in Wandsworth the week before the London 2012 Olympic Games Opens, on Mon 23rd July. This is the same day as the planned celebration at Tooting Track). We will be told approximatley four weeks before of the exact details. James is very proud and excited to have been selected.
